La Mata has the longest beach in the Costa Blanca. There are over twenty accesses, by road or by foot, through sand dunes, palm trees, direct to the waterfront and beaches. In addition to the fine golden sand, the 'micro-climate', is a perfect location off-season for good weather. The Laguna de La Mata Nature Reserve stands out, (salt Lakes). The Reserve has a tourist information center offering interesting routes to get to know the saltmarshes, and wildlife that can be seen.
